Lisa Le Feuvre will give a guided tour of the Fred Sandback exhibition. A curator, writer, educator, and lecturer, she is Head of Sculpture Studies at the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds, England. A centre for the study of sculpture, the Institute is currently working on the exhibitions Vladimir Markov: Displays and Fictions, Robert Filliou: The Institute of Endless Possibilities and Keir Smith: From Wall to Floor, as well as a series of research events relating to the current exhibition 1913: The Shape of Time. TheInstitute’s 2014-2015 program will launch with an exhibition of newly commissioned works by the American artist Carol Bove (b. 1971). Bove is represented by David Zwirner and maccarone gallery.
From 2010 to 2011 Le Feuvre was co-curator, with Tom Morton, of British Art Show 7: In the Days of the Comet; from 2005 to 2009 she directed the contemporary art program at the National Maritime Museum; and from 2004 to 2010 she taught on the postgraduate Curatorial Program in the Department of Art at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her other curatorial projects have been staged in spaces across the UK. Le Feuvre regularly contributes to journals, publications, and exhibition catalogues, includingFailure (2010, Whitechapel Art Gallery/MIT Press).
